Employer liability and mesothelioma
It has long been argued that the companies that manufactured and sold products with asbestos knew, or should have known, that those products they were unleashing on the innocent workers of America and public at large would ultimately cause the epidemic of disease being realized today.
From the earliest days that the fiber was added into manufacturing processes the health literature documented the disease implications. It was also noted that asbestos exposure related diseases, such as mesothelioma might only really start to appear decades after the exposure occurred.
Even when directly advised by health experts that exposure to asbestos would cause lung cancer including mesothelioma some companies expanded their uses for asbestos!
The disaster of asbestos would never have occurred if asbestos manufacturers had only chosen people over profits.
